Our Program

OVERVIEW

Oak Park Neighborhood Preschool is a Reggio-Emilia-based preschool where children are nurtured and guided to become life-long learners, to be able to problem-solve and to negotiate solutions.

ENROLLMENT

Our preschool program is open to all children 2 years 9 months through 4 years old who are toilet-trained. 

HOURS/DAYS

Our preschool day is 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, with the option of adding extended care from 7:45 am to 9:00 am and/or 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

Here is a general idea of our daily schedule:

9:00 - 9:45:        Outside on the playground

9:45 - 10:15:       Bathroom stop, wash hands, and morning meeting

10:15 - 11:30      Exploration time, snack, and clean-up

11:30 - 12:00:     Meeting, show and tell, bathroom stop, and wash hands

12:00 - 12:20:     We all eat lunch together

12:20 - 12:50:     Playground

12:50 - 1:00:      Inside, wash hands, rest, story or music/movement, and dismissal
